Replacing the instruments by their General MIDI equivalents is the only solution. The reason that you hear a piano tone is because you didn't use the General MIDI soundset on your M50 in other words, the MIDI file is telling WMP to use sounds it doesn't have (namely those special Korg sounds that are only on the M50) - because they fall outside of the GM standard. You can not include the actual sounds you used in the MIDI file. Wave files are sound - it tells you what it sounds like, but not how you should play it. MIDI tells what notes you should play, but not what it sounds like.
